Centuries, crits, time trials, triathlon....this is the carbon post! Adjusts forward and back in 3 ergonomic settings. The fore most clamp position would be considered a zero set back position. Clamp can be moved backward from the fore most position approximately 2.5”. Note* the clamp / saddle rail interface is very adjustable with the SP-EC post. Saddle is adjustable along the rail in each of the 3 settings. The SP-EC works well for achieving both a forward saddle position AND an aft saddle position. For example, if you are using a standard seat post (approx. 20 mm set back) and your seat tube is 73 deg., the SP-EC will allow you to move your saddle far enough forward so that your effective seat tube angle will be approximately 75-76 degrees. For training or straight road racing you may wish to move the saddle back. If your bike has tri specific geometry of 78 degrees, you should be able to reach 73-74 degrees by using the SP-EC.
