Beside that, stiff side knobs are designed to prevent tyres sliding sideways when pedaling on offcamber trails, often a problem with other mud tyres. Furthermore, PRB puncture protection and strong Aramid 3D Compound keep the weight down and the safety high, while new Tuned Spring Rate Casing phase 3.1 gives the right "high performance" feeling.
