At a fraction of the cost of other alloy triathlon specif framesets the AC-Tri allows athletes to build a race worthy tri bike for the price of an entry level road bike. The performance factor is here. Valdora has been perfecting this geometry and frame configuration since 2002 with the suggestions and feed back from sponsored athletes and costomers alike. The geometry of the current model AC-Tri is the same as the recently released full carbon Valdora PHX. The AC-Tri is constructed from a custom multi-butted zinc alloy tubeset. It is aerodynamically shaped for speed. The multi butted "tuned" tubeset rides smooth and the handling is predictable, stable, and highly maneuverable. The triangular shaped straight stays and stiff bottom bracket make for an excellent sprinter. Nice touches include gloss black finish with unique art work, and horizontal drop outs with a replaceable derailleur hanger. Standardized specs for easy custom builds - 1-1/8" Integrated Cane Creek type head tube, 68 mm English threaded bottom bracket, 27.2mm seatpost, integrated cable bosses, braze-on front derailleur clamp, water bottle bosses. Frame requirements - Bottom Bracket: BSA 68 x 109 mm, Seat post: 27.2 mm diameter, front der.: braze-on, Head Set: Cane Creek style integrated 1-1/8”.
