The Forma bottoms utilize a unique construction technique to achieve optimum fit. They are constructed on a curve to follow the body’s natural riding position to create a more accurate, closer, comfortable fit than ever before. This has been verified by winning Bicycling magazine’s 2006 Editor’s Choice Award for best bib shorts. Forma Bibs and Knickers use a combination of two fabrics: HC44™ and Moxie™. The 44 in HC44 refers to the number of threads per centimeter in the material. This ultra compact knit translates into performance and comfort advantages that have not been possible until now. HC44 is lighter weight, yet offers the performance enhancing higher compression rates previously found only in heavier fabrics. Moxie fabric is utilized in the straps because of its super fast wicking and evaporation of moisture abilities. Together, these two materials make the Forma Bib Shorts softer, supple, and dryer. The Forma shorts are entirely HC44 fabric. All Forma bottoms feature Giordana’s superior insert, the Elite Gel OmniForm™. Low profile Liquid Elastic (LE™) is used on the cuffs. LE is an updated alternative to traditional elastic grippers. It provides the dual benefits of increased aerodynamics and decreased weight for seamless comfort. Other technical advantages include seamless braces with laser cuts for ventilation on the bibs and knickers, a heat transfer size label, and reflective piping on the side of the leg.
