I am definitely impressed with the Flight Deck's accurate and readable gear indicator and speedometer, but the kudos stop there. I've found the other functions - trip time, trip distance, maximum speed, average speed, etc., to be unreliable. I'm riding along one day hands nowhere near the A-B buttons and I look down just as the Flight Deck resets my ride to "0" all around. Sometimes you push a button and get what you want, and sometimes you push the same button the same way and nothing happens. This unit is far too unreliable to be used as a biking computer. My guess is that anyone who has suffered through years with one of these has just never had anything better to compare it to. Don't get me wrong - I'm glad I've got it. I like the gear indicator and speedometer. I think if you go with a Flight Deck you've got to look at it as a partial solution. I'd recommend to a friend only as a partial solution - in addition to another more accurate and reliable bike computer.
